Insanity Workout Reviews

The Insanity Workout seems to be getting more and more popular with the word of mouth spread.

I have read tons of reviews and seen a lot of websites that talk about the insanity workout. Shaun T uses a technique called Max interval training. Basically he has you workout at 110% for a period of time and then do an extremely short break before you jump right into the workout routine again, but this time do it faster.

Workout

This method is proving to extremely effective and popular. It is interesting to note that at this point 64% of people think Insanity is a better workout then the ever popular P90X workout. That figure is due to change and I encourage you to vote as well.

Insanity Workout Reviews

I think it is going to be interesting to watch and see how this new workout does when all the hype tones down. So far I believe it has exceeded the expectations of most that really care.

The workout is 60 days long, and the first half is easier then the second half. The workouts start out at about 40 minutes long on average and in the second month increase to an hour long each day. And with the difficulty of the first 30 days the second 30 days should prove to be a real challenge for those willing to give it a shot.

Shaun T's Max Interval training takes you through a series of workouts, then he repeats these workouts, but at a faster pace then before. Then once again you must repeat it a third time, but even faster. This makes the workouts easier to follow along with and is extremely effective... and difficult.

Some of the most difficult aspects of the insanity workout is the level 1 and level 2 drills. These are a lot of up and down movements with push ups, jumps and they are very difficult to do.

Many people are calling Insanity the P90X of cardio, but I think it is much more then that. It is a full body workout and is pretty difficult to do.

Best Lower Ab Workout - How to Blast the Lower Abs

Finding the best lower ab workout is not always an easy thing to do. It can be frustrating to keep trying to work the lower abs if you feel like you are not doing it right.

In this article, you will learn what it takes to have the best lower ab workout around.

Workout

Before we get into 3 exercises, it is important that you understand some basics about training the lower abs.

Best Lower Ab Workout - How to Blast the Lower Abs

The first thing that you should understand is that just working the lower abs will not result in losing fat in that area. In order to lose fat in that area, you need to lose fat all over your body. This is how basic fat loss works. If you have a lot of fat to lose, then the best lower ab workout in the world won't do the trick all by itself. The same goes for someone who just has to lose the last few pounds.

The good news is that doing a great ab workout safely and effectively will help to strengthen your core, as well as tone those muscles up for when you are in the single digits with body fat percentage =)

Losing fat all over your body requires that you do the right combination of strength training (don't worry you will not get big and bulky), a special type of cardio called interval training, and most important, have a great diet.

Once you have those things under control, your fat loss efforts will be guaranteed.

But you came to this page looking for the best lower ab workout around, so here are a few exercises you can try right now.

Remember that training your abs is different than training other muscles. If you were working your biceps, you might try doing 3 sets of 10 reps for a few different exercises. For your lower abs, you will want to do a special sequence of exercises with little rest in between. This is called abdominal circuit training.

Here are some of the best lower ab exercises to try:

1. Alternating Supine Leg Walks

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical. Contract your abs so your midsection is tense.

Then, lower 1 leg so your foot is a few inches from the ground. Hold there for about 1 second, then return that leg to the starting position. Alternate which leg you lower.

Try a reps and really try to feel the lower abs working.

2. Supine Reverse Crunches

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical, then bend your knees at a 90 degree angle. Contract your abs so your midsection is tense.

Keeping your knees bent at the same angle, slowly lower them until the back of your feet are a few inches above the ground. Then, bring your knees up towards your chest and really squeeze your abs while doing this.

Repeat.

3. Leg Lifts

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical.

Contract your midsection by engaging the upper abs.

Then, lower both legs so that the back of your feet are right above the ground. After holding that position for a few second, return your legs to the vertical position.

Repeat.

All three of those exercises are part of getting the best ab workout possible. If you have any lower back problems at all, you should not hesitate to see a doctor for exercise advice. Now you know the basic components of having one of the best lower ab workouts. Remember your safety comes first!

Good luck, and remember to keep learning and stay persistent. =)

We all know who Beyonce Knowles is. She is an amazing actress and singer that has wowed us for the last several years with the amazing songs and roles that she has performed. She is fun and outgoing. But did you know that weight is a major concern for even her?

Workout

For many years, Beyonce has been struggling with the diet rollercoaster. Through her many roles in the film industry as well as her numerous stage appearances, it is important to Beyonce to be able to flatten the belly and drop the weight quickly and effectively.

Beyonce Knowles's Workout

Beyonce is very strict on her body with the Beyonce Knowles/workout. She eats plenty of vegetables and stays away from red meat, breads and alcoholic beverages. This has allowed her to concentrate on a low calorie, low fat and low carb diet. This diet combination and a vigorous exercise regimen have allowed Beyonce to always be slim and trim.

When it is important for Beyonce to seriously drop the weight quickly, she uses the master cleanse system in addition to everything else that she does. She will admit that this system is difficult but worth it. Beyonce has told people that the hardest part to this diet is the fact that everyone else was eating fattening foods around her and she could not.

The Beyonce Knowles/workout regimen includes vigorous yoga classes, dancing and running. She has additionally included light weights to stay toned. Her normal workout schedule includes cardiovascular exercises for about a half hour five days a week as well as free weights for about forty five minutes for the same five days. She will then add in yoga classes as well as running when she feels the need. Dancing is Beyonce's favorite form of exercise. She will do this as much as possible.

Through the many rigorous exercises and the strict diet that Beyonce adheres to, she is well aware of the need to be a chameleon for the different roles in which she plays on both the big screen and on stage. She has found that the best thing to cleanse her system and allow her to drop the weight extremely fast has been the master cleanse system.

Through this innovative system, she was able to achieve the results quicker than if she had just attempted to drop the weight through normal diet and exercise. This has allowed her to achieve the looks that are required of her in the smallest amount of time.

Exercise and diet do play a large role in the weight loss roller coaster. Beyonce is proof that looking great is no small or easy task. You do need to be committed to your weight loss plan. Before you strike out on any diet plan, talk to your doctor about your health and any safety concerns in which you may have. Adhering to a plan is not easy and it will take time. But the Beyonce Knowles/workout is proof that you can look great with master cleanse, diet and exercise, then what do you have to lose.

Fitness - How to Workout at Work - 10 Tips

How do you find time for fitness during the work hours? Look for opportunities to workout at work by periodically exercising throughout your work day. Following are 10 tips for fitting in physical activity while on the job:

1. Walk or bike to work.

Fitness

If possible, make the most of your commute by walking or biking to work. If you ride the bus, get off a few blocks early and walk the rest of the way. If you must drive, park far away to get in a quick walk.

Fitness - How to Workout at Work - 10 Tips

2. Take the stairs.

If you have a meeting on another floor, get off the elevator a few floors early and use the stairs, or skip the elevator entirely. Use the restroom on another floor and take the stairs.

3. Schedule fitness breaks.

Take a short walk instead of hanging out in the lounge with coffee or a snack.

4. Start a lunchtime walking group.

Find some co-workers to walk with during lunch breaks. A regular exercise routine and the support of your co-workers may help you stick with the program.

5. Block off time on your calendar.

Schedule physical activity as you would any other appointment during the day. Don't change your exercise plans for every interruption that comes along. Remind yourself that physical activity is important, too.

6. Plan ahead for work travel.

Bring your jump rope or choose a hotel that has a fitness facility. While waiting for a plane, grab your bags and take a walk.

7. Sit on an exercise ball instead of a chair.

This will strengthen your abs and back. You'll work on your posture without even trying.

8. Set goals.

Use a pedometer to track the number of steps you take every day. Set new goals every week or so such as 5,000 steps then 6,000 steps, etc.

9. Use your headset.

Instead of sitting idle at a desk talking on the phone, walk and talk with a headset on.

10. Head to the mall for lunch.

Park far away and eat something healthy. After lunch, go for a quick walk around the mall.

Any movement is better than none, so be creative. By adding short bouts of exercise to your daily routine, you'll burn more calories and will reduce stress.

Getting A Good Workout At Home

No matter what any pill-marketing advertisements may tell you, the heart of weight loss is getting regular exercise. While some people don't like to go to the gym, either due to embarrassment or the effort involved in driving elsewhere just to exercise, there are plenty of exercises that you can do in your own house to help you keep fit and in shape. With that in mind, here are some exercises that you can perform in the comforts of your own home.

Jumping rope - while most of us forgot about jumping rope the second that we got out of grade school, it is truly a great workout. Studies have shown that a mere five minutes of jumping rope is equivalent, calorie-burning-wise, to jogging for a full mile! What's more is that you can jump rope in your house and it costs very little to get your own rope. Just be sure that when you are jumping rope that you keep it high-intensity, spinning the rope quick enough to generate some real movement of the body.

\"Exercise Workouts\"

Climbing stairs - do you have a stairway in your house, or do you live in an apartment building? If so, congratulations - you've got your own stairmaster! Few people realize the merits of simply walking up and down a flight of stairs when it comes to fitness. While plenty go on stairclimbers with reckless abandon, roughly the same workout can be attained by just walking up and down flights of stairs. Once you feel that the benefits of stair climbing aren't enough for your workout, try carrying weights, or even soup cans, as you climb the stairs. This added weight, although small, helps your body to get more in shape.

Getting A Good Workout At Home

Sit-ups and push-ups - these two exercises help you to tone the muscles in your chest and abs while burning calories. They don't require any equipment, and you can even do them while you're watching TV! If you're watching television and a commercial break happens, take the opportunity to do a set of push-ups and a set of sit-ups. In no time, you'll notice a lot more tone to the muscles in your body.

Cleaning - cleaning around the house is actually quite the aerobic activity. In addition to burning calories, you're also performing some house work that can really pay off. Be sure to keep a steady pace while cleaning, ensuring that the exercise that you get from the process is intense enough to make a difference.

Daily Exercise Workout - Traditional Chinese Style

A traditional Chinese daily exercise workout is holistic, comprising exercises and techniques for your body, mind and spirit. Why is holistic exercising necessary? While having a strong, toned, flexible body is beneficial and desirable, if you don't have control over your mind and emotions you simply don't have complete, harmonious health - you're only doing one-third of what you should and could be doing for your health! This is something Eastern yogis, daoists, medical practitioners and martial artists have known for at least 2000 years.

A typical daily Chinese exercise workout schedule contains:

\"Exercise Workouts\"

  • Warm up, loosening & stretching exercises
  • Strengthening exercises
  • Self-massage techniques
  • Breathing & meditation techniques

The benefits of a Chinese style daily exercise workout are numerous:

Daily Exercise Workout - Traditional Chinese Style

  • A strong, toned, flexible body
  • A calm mind
  • Balanced emotions
  • Enhanced blood circulation
  • Good posture & balance
  • Sound sleep
  • Clear skin & eyes
  • Good digestion
  • Regular bowel movements
  • A greater overall sense of well-being, and more

Will a Chinese style daily exercise workout help me?

The benefits of Chinese health exercises are available to anyone regardless of race, age, sex and state of health. The exercises and techniques are based on the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the oldest, continuously practiced medical system in the world. If these exercises and techniques didn't work, they simply wouldn't still be in use. If you haven't done Chinese style exercise before though, you'll obviously need to try it for yourself. All you need is a desire to improve your health and wellbeing, 15-30 minutes a day and a suitable place to practice - no gyms, classes, equipment or training partners necessary!

To your health!

The Insanity Workout is Not For Everyone

Not For Beginners.

The Insanity workout by Shaun T is not going to be a workout for beginners. If you are terribly out of shape, this workout is not going to be right for you. 4 Week Exercise Workout For Obese People

Before you start preparing to lose weight, you have to take into account of your fitness levels. If you are obese then first things you need to do is clean up your diets and start spending more time on activities.

1. Starting Diet :

\"Exercise Workouts\"

I have personally tested many diets. Atkins, south beach etc but one thing is for sure, if you use a simple low carb approach you'll lose fat. But I don't recommend low carb like other trainers because if you spend too much time with this diet, you'll hamper your metabolism.

4 Week Exercise Workout For Obese People

2. 4 week Workout routines

Do you really think same old workout will work?

Obese people need to get stronger & use resistance training to build muscle so they can do cardio type events. Building muscles will boost your metabolism and help you burn more fat. Here's more realistic plan :

Week 1 : 40 minutes of fast walking every day

Week 2 : 40 Minutes of Fast walking for 4 days

2 Day bodyweight workout : Lunges, Squat, push up (do as many reps/sets you can)

Week 3 : 40 minutes of Walking for 3 days

2 Day bodyweight workout : lunges, squat, push-ups, step up (on 15 inch platform). Do as many as you can.

1 Day sprint training (or 1 day beach training) : You'll start running (or sprinting) 100 m as many times as you want. If you don't have beach, you can try Hill running.

Week 4 : 40 minutes of walk X 3 days

3 day sprint training on beach/hill : 100 m sprints as many as you want.

This is not a complicated program at all. But this will help you get back in exercise shape in 4 weeks before we can really go for some of my power programs.

This is very moderated workout for you for next 4 weeks, I'll add more weeks if you want. Or additionally you can just email me for more ideas.

Workout Routines

Everybody has become increasingly conscious of the way they look today. There is a strong desire to have a perfect body. A good body is the result of eating the right food and exercise. Fitness is based on the formula of 'Eat well, sleep well and exercise'. However, it should be remembered that a good body alone does not mean fitness. Fitness refers to the fitness of body and mind. Fitness can be achieved by following a good workout routine.

A good workout helps to keep excess weight at bay. They help in increasing energy and stamina to sustain the stress and pressures of everyday life. Workouts help in preventing diseases and physical ailments. They help in the functioning of body muscles and organs at optimum levels. It is advisable to design a workout routine with the help of a fitness expert. Ideally, it is beneficial to workout daily at least for an hour. However, beginners may proceed with fewer exercises. It is better to start slowly than give up immediately. Exercising is a commitment for a lifetime. It is recommended for beginners to begin at the gym under the supervision of fitness experts.

\"Exercise Workouts\"

Prior to a workout, warm-up exercises and stretching exercises are a must. The exercises must be performed very slowly and smoothly. It is better to start with relatively simpler exercises and then gradually move on to more difficult ones. Fifteen to twenty minutes should be devoted to cardiovascular exercises. A good exercise routine must include workouts for various muscles of the body. A lot of people choose walking, jogging or swimming as a form of physical exercise.

Workout Routines

A good workout routine must essentially include a good diet. A healthy and nutritious diet goes a long way in maintaining good health. A good workout program also helps in developing a positive frame of mind. Boxing, Martial Arts, Tai chi and Yoga are supposed to provide an outlet for feelings of frustration and anger.

Pool Exercise Workout For Weight Loss and Fat Burning

If you want weight loss and fat burning without the rough impact on your joints from running, then you'll love pool exercise workouts.

You're about to discover simple strength training exercises you can do in a pool to burn fat and calories. I'm going to show you a few different ways in which you can benefit from doing pool exercises.

\"Exercise Workouts\"

First, the buoyancy of the water will not only help beginners perform the exercises a little bit easier, but the water will also help advanced individuals with some of the more difficult exercises. An added benefit of the water is that it removes some of the stress normally placed on the joints in regular out-of-water exercises.

Pool Exercise Workout For Weight Loss and Fat Burning

The second thing I want to show you is how you can do some jumping and running exercises in the water and again removing some of the stress from the joints.

So to begin the pool exercises, I'll start with a basic bodyweight prisoner squat. As you go down, the water will force you back up, making this exercise easier to perform and again removing the added stress on your joints. This is precisely why you see so many aquatics exercise classes these days.

If you are advanced, then you can do a single leg squat. To perform this exercise in the pool, lean up against the side of the pool, bring one foot out in front and grab it with your hand and squat down. By doing this exercise in the water, you will have much better balance than if you were to do it as a free weight exercise.

Another great pool exercise beginners and advanced alike can benefit from is the lunge. This is an especially good water exercise to do if you are a bit weaker or have bad knees.

There are a number of bodyweight exercises you can do out of the water, but since you're in the pool, you mine as well make use of it. So, the next aquatic exercise I recommend doing is the pull-up.

You can also superset this with a modified dip. For the dips, simply go to the side of the pool, put your hands out in front of you on the ground, and push yourself up out of the water and then back down.

Next, do some sort of jumping exercise to finish off your pool workout. Due to the resistance of the water, you won't be able to jump as high as you're normally capable of, but it will also be easier on the landing. You will still get all the plyometric benefits, as well as the interval training benefits, with less stress on the knees and the ankle joints.

You can easily lose weight and burn fat in a pool and get lean and lose belly fat. Plus, you don't have to worry about hurting your knees running on pavement or concrete.

So, there you have a great pool workout that provides a tremendous benefit to you. You get to be creative in designing a great fat-blasting workout, all the while having fun and enjoying the weather!

Zumba Dance Sneakers - Tips For Picking Out Cardio Workout Footwear

When you combine the most exciting dance moves with Latin and international dancing steps what you're left with is called Zumba.

However, this booty shaking, super effective calorie burning dance workout requires what are now being referred to as "Zumba dance shoes." Well, what they really are is dance workout sneakers or shoes.

\"keep Fit\"

Usually, it takes a class or two before you realize that you can't wear your normal sneakers or even a pair of dance shoes to a Zoomba (as it sometimes spelled) dancing workout class.

Nope, those sneakers that get you by at the gym or while jogging just won't do for this dance aerobic workout. Even shoes with a smooth sole may not provide you with enough cushion and support to handle the back and forth side to side movements in this breakthrough cardio workout.

By the way, here is one little trick I picked up to make your footwear more comfortable while you're working out. It's this, simply purchase a pair of cushion insole's for your Zumba dance shoes. This makes them much more comfortable to exercise in and will prevent your feet from aching.

When choosing the best Zumba dance shoes there are some really great manufacturers that offer a truly quality product at an affordable price.

One of them is Ryka, of course there is Adidas, Puma, Nike and others.

These shoes will provide you with the proper support, comfort, and they are designed to allow your foot to breathe.

You can find some really good reviews online or you can ask your dance workout instructor for a few tips and recommendations.

Remember, a dance workout is an incredible way to keep fit, lose weight and reshape your entire body. However, like anything else in life it's important to have the right equipment.

\"keep Fit\"

This method is proving to extremely effective and popular. It is interesting to note that at this point 64% of people think Insanity is a better workout then the ever popular P90X workout. That figure is due to change and I encourage you to vote as well.

Workout Charts

Fighting fat or building up muscles involves more than eating the right kinds of food or the proper amount of exercise. It requires a scientific approach at tracking your progress. To do this effectively, you will need to keep workout charts.

Workout charts are simply that, charts that track down how many hours of exercise your are getting in a given day, week or month. A typical chart should contain dates as well as how long you spend doing warm up exercises. This should also include what technique you use to warm up.

Exercise

These workout charts should also contain records on what type of exercise and how long it takes you to finish each complete set. These can range from sit ups, bench presses, crunches, push ups, abs repetitions and lunges.

It is important to take accurate note of the dates and times when making a workout charts. They help you by allowing you to see if you have been making any progress or improvements. It helps you see if a particular exercise is working for your body or not. It also shows you the different effects each regimen or workout has for you.

Workout charts should not be limited to historical data alone but they can be used to determine your future exercise regimens. This will allow you to establish an achievable goal over a longer period of time to allow you to reach your optimum weight level. The stages of each one should be clearly outlined, a corresponding increase in the frequency in exercise should also be documented or planned in this chart.

What is good exercise without a proper diet? Food charts and workout charts should go hand in hand. A workout chart allows you to track and plan your exercises while a good food chart allows your plan your diet. Remember, whether you are trying to loose weight or to gain additional pounds you have to eat the right kind and amounts of food at the right time. A food chart will help you do that. It should contain what kind of food whether it be meat, fish, vegetable or whole grain cereals you can consume in a day and more importantly at what time of the day.

Just like workout charts that plan what type of exercise you should do from warm ups to warm downs, a food chart will plan your food intake from breakfast to dinner time. There are certain kinds of food that are ideal for starting the day with like cereal and whole grain oats, while other foods are meant to be avoided especially during dinner time.

If you are seriously thinking about losing those bulges or building some muscle plan your workout charts and food charts first before hitting the gym. It is also best to consult with a fitness expert or dietician when doing so.

Captain's Chair Ab Workout - Alternative Exercise Method

The Captain's Chair workout is rated as one of the most effective and best ab exercises by a study conducted at the Biomechanics Lab at the San Diego State University. Even though it is a relatively easy exercise to learn and do, not everyone has access to a Captain's Chair or Power Tower device. However, there is an alternative to these exercise equipment.

With a grip-lock exercise bar and two ab straps, you can perform a similar abdominal exercise. This alternative equipment uses a door frame to allow you to perform exercises such as Knee Raises and Pull-Ups. Two brands that sell the combination of a grip-lock bar and ab straps are:

Exercise

  • The Gold's Gym Home Circuit
  • And the Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar.

The advantages of using the grip-lock bar and ab straps for this exercise are:

  • The equipment is less expensive
  • Allows you to do this workout at home
  • Can be easily stored in a closet
  • And it is easy to install on the appropriate door frame.

The disadvantages of this alternative are:

  • There is no back support. You must pay special attention to keeping your spine straight and aligned with your neck.
  • You may experience soreness in your shoulders, since your shoulder muscles will be holding up your body weight. This soreness usually disappears after your shoulder muscles become stronger.

With this type of exercise bar, you need a door frame that is 27.5 to 30 inches in width, and 4.5 to 6 inches in depth. The bar easily and quickly locks onto the door frame, and will support a body weight up to 250 lbs.

The grip-lock bar comes with an upper crossbar and a lower exercise bar. Use the following procedure to properly install the grip-lock bar onto an appropriate door frame:

  1. First put the ab straps on each side of the lower exercise bar.
  2. Pass the upper crossbar through an open doorway leaving the lower exercise bar on the opposite side of the door frame.
  3. Set the crossbar on the top edge of the door frame and push the crossbar as far as possible onto the edge of the door frame.
  4. Then brace the ends of the exercise bar against the opposite side of the door frame.
  5. If there is a door attached to the door frame, make sure that the crossbar and the door hinges are on the same side of the door frame.

After the exercise bar is properly installed on the appropriate door frame, use the following procedure for the Knee Raise exercise:

  1. Slide your arms through the ab straps as far as they will go.
  2. Grab onto the handles for support and to keep your body stable.
  3. Allow your body to hang while keeping your back straight and well aligned with your neck.
  4. Keep your legs together.
  5. Keep your abdominal muscles engaged, and concentrate on using your abdominal muscles to lift your knees toward your chest.
  6. As you breathe in, lift your knees toward your chest.
  7. As you breathe out, lower your legs back to the starting position.
  8. Do 10 reps at a time at first. Increase the number of reps as you become stronger.

This alternative to the Captain's Chair ab workout will help you develop a muscular and flat stomach. And you can now do this exercise at home, and with little exercise equipment expense.
